REBECCA Harris, the 26-years-old marketing executive from Fernhill Heath, near Worcester, who beat footballer Robbie Savage in a climb to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro, completed the London Marathon for the first time in a creditable 5hours 1min.

"She was a bit disappointed with her time, but hadn’t run in that sort of heat with 35,999 other people before," said her mother Alison. "She was hoping for about 4hrs 30mins - but hey - she finished! She’s alive! And it looks like she will have raised over £1,000 for Macmillan, as people are still donating. So £200 an hour isn’t bad! We're all so proud of her."
