THIS week, thousands of music fans will be poised at their computers as the final tickets for this year's Glastonbury Festival go on sale.

Following the closure of the window for previous ticket holders to pay off the balance of their accounts, a limited number of cancelled or refunded tickets will go on sale.

On Thursday, April 24, coach and ticket packages will be on offer from 7pm, while general tickets will go back on the market from 9am on Sunday, April 27.

Earlier this year, around 170,000 tickets for the event, which runs at Worthy Farm, Pilton, Somerset from Wednesday, June 25 to Sunday, June 29, were snapped up within hours.

Organisers have warned anyone attempting to buy tickets in the resale that they will only be available via glastonbury.seetickets.com.

General admission tickets will also be available by phone on 0844 412 4635.

Anyone hoping to buy a ticket has to be registered to do so, via glastonburyregistration.co.uk.

Tickets cost £210 + £5 booking fee per person. Prices for coach packages vary.

Acts confirmed for this year's event include Arcade Fire, Blondie, Robert Plant, Kasabian, Jack White and Dolly Parton.
