A WORCESTER care home has praised its staff following the national campaign, Good Care Week.

The annual awareness campaign, which ran from Monday, April 21 to Sunday, April 27, recognises quality care, and the skilled and committed individuals working across the industry.

Dr Hannah MacKechnie, of Radfield Home Care, based in the Business Centre, Blackpole Road, said: “Britain depends on its care workers, in both the voluntary and professional sectors and there’s nothing that defines a society more clearly than the way in which it cares for the most vulnerable, the elderly – and those that care for them."

The care home recently launched an official ‘Caring for Carers’ Pledge which promotes good practice across the care sector and as a plea to other providers to make sure they support their staff as well as possible.

Dr MacKechnie added: "We’re particularly proud of our team and their achievements, and are dedicated to supporting them not only during Good Care Week, but all year round too."
