YOUNG Worcestershire racing driver Zoe Wenham is to appear on TVs across the country tonight as she swaps life in a sports car for a vintage vehicle.

The 19-year-old, who lives in Kemerton, near Bredon, will feature in today's episode of Flog It on BBC1 at 4.30pm driving a 1932 MG M-type Midget.

Miss Wenham had thought her part in the show had been cut as it was filmed back in 2013.

"It’s been a long time since I filmed Flog It but I received a call that it will air at 4.30 on BBC1," she said. "I’m a bit nervous about seeing it as it was the first time I’d done anything like that and driving a 1932 MG M-type Midget was totally different to anything I drive nowadays on the racing scene."

Miss Wenham is also currently taking part in the FunCup UK Championship alongside her brother Guy.

The pair are racing beetle lookalikes with a VW/Audi petrol engine and after the first four hour endurance race earlier this month at Oulton Park are in second place.

"The season has seven race weekends of races between one and six hours and so far we have only had our debut race," said Miss Wenham, who will next race on Saturday, May 17, at Snetterton for six hours. "After the four hour endurance race we finished in second place, five seconds adrift of the winners who are three times champions in the category."
