THE number of people suffering from bedsores at hospitals in Worcestershire increased last month but the amount of people hurting themselves in falls dropped.
A report presented to the monthly meeting of Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust on Wednesday, April 30 showed 13 patients developed bedsores in March, up from eight the previous month.
But the amount of falls dropped by 10 per cent over the past two months.
The trust’s chief nursing officer Lindsey Webb said the increase in bedsores was “disappointing” but said the organisation was still in a good position overall.
