CELEBRATE music with a prestigious choir to raise funds for families living with a neurological condition.
Volunteers from the Worcestershire Motor Neurone Disease Association are inviting people to join them and the Alcester Male Voice Choir for a concert entitled a summer evening, a celebration of song at Pershore Abbey on Saturday, May 17.
The choir is also celebrating its 40th anniversary and will feature Betsy Harmony, Phil Joseph and organist Roger Sharp.
Motor Neurone Disease causes the deterioration and loss of function of the nerves and cells in the brain and spinal cord that control the muscles in the body.
It is rapidly progressive and has no cure, affecting up to 5,000 adults every year in the UK.
The association uses its funds to provide a bridge service with essential equipment such as wheel chairs and stair lifts, as well as training specialist health professionals to support patients and their families.
The concert starts at 7.30pm and tickets are £14 to include interval refreshments.
