POLICE are appealing for information after a man exposed himself to a 12-year-old girl and a woman in two separate incidents in an alley in St John’s last week.

Both incidents happened on Friday, May 2 in an alleyway between Bromyard Road and Greenacres Road.

Just after 7am a 26-year-old woman crossed a small stream by the footbridge and saw a man at the foot of the set of long shallow steps in the path exposing himself and smoking a cigarette.

He watched her as she walked past but did not speak to her.

The woman described him as white with a tan, in his mid to late 20s, 5ft 7ins tall, clean shaven and of slim build, with short dark brown or black hair. He was wearing a light blue t-shirt and dark blue denim jeans with white trainers.

Shortly afterwards a 12-year-old girl on her way to school through the alley also saw a man exposing himself.

She described him as having browny-blond short hair which was a little spiky, with spots on his forehead and wearing a red short-sleeved top with jeans.

PC Rich Foxall of West Mercia Police said, although the descriptions differ slightly, the offences were being linked due to having happened in the same place at a similar time.

“Neither of the victims were approached or spoken to but this behaviour is obviously of concern to those involved and to police,” he said.

“It is possible there have been other victims and are appealing for them to come forward as well as anyone with any information which may enable us to identify this individual.”

Any information can be passed to police on 101 quoting reference 66-s-020514.

Information can also be passed to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via crimestoppers-uk.org.
