AN international artist series will bring three world-class performers to a church audience during a trio of evening concerts.

The season at St Martin's Church, London Road, Worcester, opens with Australian organist Thomas Heywood on Saturday, July 19 and he will present a programme of entertaining concert classics.

Heywood is celebrated for his brilliant technique, amazing arrangements and amusing presentation.

Andrew Millington, the director of music at Exeter Cathedral, began his musical life in Worcestershire and he makes his return on Saturday, September 20.

The award-winning conductor, successful composer and well known recitalist and recording artist will perform a varied programme of organ music to include works by Bach, Elgar and Vierne.

David Miller completes the series on Saturday, October 18 with a programme of contrasts featuring music by lute virtuosi of the late Renaissance and Baroque periods, John Dowland & Silvius Leopold Weiss.

The concerts all start at 7.30pm.
