GENEROUS students and staff have teamed up boost the city's foodbank.
The student council of Worcester Sixth Form College organised the collection to provide Worcester Foodbank, which is run by the Trussell Trust in Carden Street, with enough produce to supply about eight families using the service.
Wendy Cartledge, of the Worcester Foodbank, said: “This makes such a difference to people living in food poverty. The college’s collection will feed at least eight local families. It is great to see such collaboration between staff and students.”
The college plans to continue its support for the Worcester Foodbank, with a further collection planned during the autumn term.
