A TEENAGER who was killed after being hit by a car in Bromsgrove on Tuesday has been named as Samuel Chambers.

The 17-year-old from the Bromsgrove area was on foot when he was hit by a Toyota Avensis near the traffic lights at the junction of the A38 and New Road just after 10.20pm on May 13.

He suffered severe head injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Toyota driver, a man from the Redditch area, was not hurt but was treated for shock by paramedics.

An investigation has been launched and police are appealing for anyone who saw the crash to come forward.
