YOUNGSTERS have made their own maths hats as part of a marvellous maths week.

Children from St Mary's Worcester prep school enjoyed a week-long focus on enjoying maths across the curriculum in a creative way.

Gemma Cleary, head of the Lower School at St Mary's Worcester, said: "The children have done maths through music, maths through cookery, taken part in outdoor maths trails, set up their own cake shop and completed the Smarties challenge.

"Their homework was to make a maths hat."

She added: "To develop a love of learning we aim to plan interesting, practical and creative experiences for the children."
