STAFF from a care home have been showing off their skills to children from a nearby school.
Workers from Perry Wood Manor residential care home volunteered to share their knowledge with children from Perry Wood Primary and Nursery School.
Chefs from the newly-built facility at Charles Hastings Way showed the children how to bake pies while other members of staff joined together with the children to attack weeds in the overgrown garden.
Some volunteers also shared stories with the pupils to help improve their reading skills.
It is now hoped the children will return the favour by reading to some of the residents at Perry Manor.
