CLASSIC car enthusiasts were out in force for a classic MG rally at the historic Stanbrook Abbey.
A total of 47 vintage MGs were on show at the popular wedding reception venue, situated in Callow End, near Worcester.
After meeting up, the cars were driven to Llandrindod Wells in Powys, Wales.
The event, organised by the MG Car Club, saw proud owners and their beloved vehicles meet at the Abbey, ready for the long drive over the border.
Roger Husband, a member of the Midlands section of the MG Car Club, said: “There were 47 cars of various ages from the Midlands, and we started out at Stanbrook Abbey at 9am.
“We rallied together to drive from there to Llandrindod Wells, and we did about 150 miles with the route we went.
“We drove through forest, mountain, glen, everywhere.
“They planned a superb route, actually.
“The scenery we went through was absolutely fantastic.
“The weather wasn’t exactly exceptional, but other than a bit of rain it was a great day.”
Amazingly, every single car, some of which were more than 70 years old, made the gruelling trip without so much as a breakdown.
Mr Husband added: “No, no one broke down, which was obviously a bonus!”
