THE Messy Church events at St Martin's Church in Worcester need more volunteers if they are to grow.

The fun children's activity sessions take place every third Saturday of each month with the aim of encouraging children and their parents or carers to come into church.

Currently the church in London Road is in touch with more than 30 families meaning in excess of 60 children could come along to Messy Church.

So they can cope they are appealing for extra volunteers to help with the art and craft activities, clearing up, talking to the families that come along and serving tea and coffee.

Helpers would need to come along at 9.45am to finish by 1pm, or 11.45am if they did not want to stay for lunch.

The next Messy Church will take place on Saturday, June 21, and is themed, what a wonderful world.

It will start at 10am for the families and there will be a fair trade stall.

Anyone that can lend a hand should contact the church on 01905 358083 or email teamoffice@tscali.co.uk.
