A MAN in his 20s had to be cut free from his car after it was involved in an crash at Grimley Race Way, near Hallow.

The fire service were called to cut the roof off the stock car to allow the man to be released due to the injuries he had sustained.

The crash happened at the Spring Smash for Cash event on Bank Holiday Monday shortly before 5.30pm.

The West Midlands Ambulance Service attended with a rapid response paramedic and ambulance and the man was taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital in a stable condition.
