PEOPLE were forced to leave their homes tonight after a fire broke out in a flat in Worcester.
The blaze started shortly before 8.50pm this evening at St Wulstans Court, Bath Road in Worcester.
The ground floor flat appeared to be badly damaged by the fire and people living in the building were forced to leave after the alarms were raised.
Residents outside the building, who were waiting to be let back in, said there had been a lot of smoke and people had evacuated themselves.
They added that no one was thought to have been injured in the incident.
Mill Street was also closed as a result of the fire.
Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service used a thermal image camera to locate the fire.
Western Power Distribution were also at the scene.
