FOUR countryside walks will celebrate a quarter of a century of rambling.

Worcester Ramblers marks its 25th anniversary with the series of strolls on the Malvern Hills on Saturday, June 21, starting with an eight-mile walk with a focus on the diversity of wildlife from Gullet Quarry, Castlemorton, at 9.30am.

A coach from Welland will take walkers to the starting point of two linear walks to Castlemorton - one from Eastnor, near Ledbury, at 11am for a seven-mile walk and the other from the British Camp at 11.30am for a five-mile walk.

An easier option is a 3-4 mile walk around the Castlemorton area, from noon.

Chairman Cliff Dimond said: "This 25th anniversary celebration is a great opportunity for previous, present and prospective members of the Worcester group of the ramblers to walk together, socialise, reflect upon past events and to look forward to future rewarding experiences."

All walks will return to Welland in time to join the celebration tea being served from 3pm.
