A GROUP of artists have clubbed together to solve their lack of exhibition space.

Painter Ian Gibson, of Badsey, near Evesham, will host an open studio event at his home as part of the annual Warwickshire Open Studios event.

There will be a selection of work on display from two painters, two photographers and one ceramic artist at Cherry House, 83 Bretforton Road.

Mr Gibson said: β€œIt is not easy exhibiting in our area as there are is a scarcity of art galleries. Holding an open studio is a good way of showing our work to local people and by joining in with Warwickshire Open Studios we hope to attract people from Warwickshire to travel a bit further to see work by artists they may not have come across before.”

There will be abstract oil paintings from Will Clapton, Ian Gibson's surreal landscape paintings and prints and Gloria Norman's ceramic sculpture, with Hazel Green and Richard Phillips showing a wide range of photography.

The exhibition will be open from 11am to 6pm on Saturday and Sunday, June 28-29, Friday to Sunday, July 4-6 and Saturday and Sunday, July 12-13.
