IT was a game of two halves for a football mad mum-to-be who was worried she would go into labour during England's first World Cup game.

Claire Boys was over the moon her first daughter Chloe Morgan Bentley arrived safely on Wednesday - the day before the World Cup began - but admitted she was disappointed with the Three Lions' result against Italy.

Miss Boys' mum Karen gave birth to Claire's brother Mark during an England match during Italia 90 and the 22-year-old Villa fan feared she would repeat history.

And while little Chloe arrived before the start of the tournament in Brazil she did follow in the family's footsteps by arriving on June 11 and now shares a birthday with her uncle.

Thee 22-year-old and her partner Chris Bentley welcomed Chloe into the world at Worcestershire Royal Hospital.

England's youngest fan, now a week old, arrived at 11.26pm weighing 7 pounds 11oz.

Miss Boys, from Beeston Gardens, Warndon Villages, said: "There was a slight complication in the way she was positioned so I had an emergency c-section which is why she ended up being born on my brother's birthday.

"We have managed to watch most of England's match - Chloe was asleep through most of it though.

"She will be supporting the team and her grandad has already bought her a little England football.

"We've been enjoying the World Cup so far, apart from England losing of course, and we will be trying to watch as many games as is possible with a newborn."
