PEOPLE living in the Wyre Forest have until next Tuesday, June 24, to have their say on plans to redraw ward boundaries in the district.

If draft recommendations by the Local Government Boundary Commission for England go ahead the district will be re-divided into 11 wards represented by three councillors each.

This will mean nine fewer members will sit on the council.

Commission chairman Max Caller said: “We are keen to hear local views about our boundary proposals before we finalise them in September.

“We want to make sure ward boundaries across Wyre Forest reflect the identities and interests of local communities as well as delivering electoral fairness for voters.

“This is your last chance to have your say before we finalise the recommendations.”

Representations can also be made in writing to The Review Officer (Wyre Forest), Local Government Boundary Commission for England, Layden House, 76-86 Turnmill Street, London, EC1M 5LG or to reviews@lgbce.org.uk.
