WORCESTER-based charity Onside hopes to sell up to 1,000 cakes at its Rio-style bake sale at the Guildhall next Saturday (June 28).

The charity supports over 2,500 vulnerable adults and their families, and the sale of cakes will help them to continue their work.

Claire Watkins from Onside said: "The free support we provide is vital and often the only hope vulnerable and isolated people have of living better lives and connecting with their communities.

"Every £200 raised enables Onside, through our volunteers, to support an extra ten disadvantaged adults for six months. Please buy some of our homemade cakes- they’re amazing!”

Onside's great bake sale takes place from 10am to 2pmat the Guildhall in Worcester's High Street. There will be refreshments and vintage music with a Rio-style carnival theme providing a welcome break from Saturday shopping and the football.
