CHILD Safety Week at a local nursery was serious fun for forty pre-school children.
The arrival of a police car is always popular at the Busy Bees Nursery, Warndon, where the children are used to regular visits and talks from members of the emergency services.
On Tuesday, June 24, PCSO David Anderson handed out police helmets, for the children to try on, before giving a talk on various safety issues for youngsters, including 'stranger danger'.
Nursery manager, Shelley Southall said: "The day went really well, and the children really enjoyed and got a lot out of the visit."
Next week, as part of the same initiative, the children are set to enjoy a visit from an ambulance crew.
