RESIDENTS are being reminded to keep their homes secure when they go out after thieves stole two cars after breaking into a house in a village near Bromsgrove earlier this week.
The house in Lickey End was broken into through rear patio doors between 8pm on Thursday, June 26 and 9am the following day while it was empty.
The offenders stole the keys to a red Volvo estate, registration YE12 ZGO, and a grey Seat Leon, registration KM08 ZRD, and drove off in an unknown direction.
No other items are believed to have been taken from the house.
West Mercia Police Detective Constable Mark Lazenby said: “We are reminding householders to ensure their homes are secure by preventing access being gained to the rear and locking doors and accessible windows.
“Invest in a good quality alarm from a reputable supplier.
“If it’s a visible alarm it will also act as a deterrent.
“Good quality home security systems also offer many additional security features such as light timer devices and closed circuit TV surveillance systems to keep a watchful eye over your home.”
Anyone who has seen the cars or has any information can call police on 101 quoting incident number 0147-s-270614.
Information can also be passed anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via www.crimestoppers-uk.org.
