PATIENTS and families across Worcestershire are being invited to nominate a health worker who has gone above and beyond the call of duty for a prestigious award.

Nominations have opened for Worcestershire Health and Care Trust’s annual Staff Awards, applauding the hard work of its staff across the county.

The trust, which runs community care, mental health, learning difficulty and children’s services among others employs more than 4,000 district nurses, health visitors, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and other workers.

Chief executive Sarah Dugan said: “Our dedicated staff at Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust work tirelessly around the clock to ensure that patients across the county receive the best possible treatment and care in the best possible environment.

“We are sure that there are many patients out there who feel that our staff deserve recognition for the excellent work that they do, and we would encourage them to let us know by nominating them for the Patient Choice Award.”

Nominations open today and close on Thursday, August 7 and can be made in writing to Communications Team, Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust, Isaac Maddox House, Shrub Hill Road Worcester, WR4 9RW.
