AN art exhibition put on by a Worcester charity proved to be a great success.

The Worcester Snoezelen charity, which provides a sensory environment for people with learning difficulties, held the art exhibition at the dance studio in Worcester University last week.

All the work was put together by users of the charity, in Turnpike Close, St Johns, supporters, family members and staff and went on show until Sunday.

Jane Roberts, chief officer at Worcester Snoezelen, said the exhibition had been an eclectic mix of art work.

"The Snoezelen artists produced an eclectic mix of work," she said. "The work was part of a silent auction so the highest bidder gets the work announced at the end of the exhibition.

"All the proceeds will go to the charity. We will hopefully raise awareness of the potential of people with with learning difficulties and their ability at doing art work.

"They really enjoyed it. It's a brilliant way to express emotions. There was one piece that had splattered paint on it and was done by three lads. They did it together, which they really enjoyed so it was great."
