AN ORGANISATION running a private hospital in Worcester has won a national healthcare award.
Spire Healthcare – which runs South Bank Hospital in Bath Road – was named Hospital Group of the Year at the 2014 HealthInvestor Awards.
The organisation was applauded for its work investing in hospitals throughout the country and high levels of patient satisfaction. There were also no cases of MRSA reported across any of the hospitals run by the company in 2013.
South Bank Hospital director Ben Nicholson said he was “delighted” by the award.
“We are pleased the judges recognised the investments made in the company and the hard work and dedication everyone at Spire Healthcare gives to providing high quality patient care,” he said. “I hope this highlights to the people across the West Midlands that they have access to a high quality, award-winning hospital right on their doorstep.”
