Alcester speed camera is UK's sixth busiest
A SPEED camera on the A435 Studley Road in Alcester has been revealed as the sixth busiest in the UK, recording 6,414 speeding drivers in 2013.
The figures were revealed following a Freedom of Information request made by insurance company LV=, which showed a camera at junction 25 of the M60 near Stockport was the country’s busiest last year, recording 9,326 speeding offences in just 12 months.
Warwickshire Police was unable to confirm how much revenue had been made from fines issued to drivers recorded speeding by the camera.
