RUSH hour commuters ended up in long queues as they tried to get into Worcester to start the working week after a crash between a motorcycle and a minibus.

The A443 Hallow Road was blocked off after the collision this (Monday) morning at around 8am and didn't re-open until 12.30pm.

The collision took place between between the B4204 Martley Road and Shoulton Lane at the junction with Beaconhill Drive, Hallow, near Worcester.

The minibus was full at the time of the accident carrying adults heading to work on a farm.

The male motorcyclist, thought to be in his 50s sustained leg injuries in the incident but they are not thought to be life threatening. He was taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital.

The male driver of the minibus and a female passenger sitting behind him were also treated for injuries and one patient was taken to hospital with hand injuries.

An ambulance, paramedic and and community responder attended the incident.

Police were directing traffic away from the scene during the morning, which caused traffic problems as people tried to use the major route into the city.

Drivers were being turned around as the vehicles were cleared from the scene.

Traffic was returned to normal as the road re-opened for the afternoon.
