A MAJOR overhaul for Malvern Link's railway station has now been completed with a new coat of paint for the footbridge.
Two completely new station buildings were opened earlier this year, providing new waiting rooms on both platforms. plus a new ticket office, in a style matching the station's Victorian heritage.
And the job has now been finished with a new paint job for the footbridge linking the two platforms.
The completion of the $3500,000 project has been welcomed by MP Harriett Baldwin, who formally opened the new buildings in March.
Mrs Baldwin said: “The new-look train station is very impressive, but when I formally opened facility, the bridge looked a little sad and unloved. The coat of paint makes a big difference and the station now looks fantastic.
“Our long-term economic plan is helping job growth and 7,900 more people in West Worcestershire are now working compared to 2010. The new station will help attract both inward investors, tourists and commuters.”
