EXCITEMENT is building ahead of one of the events of the year as the Worcester City 10K race nears ever closer, and you could be taking part.
Thousands are expected to take part in the spectacle, with runners setting off Worcester Race Course, including high profile guests from the world of athletics such as world-record holder Paula Radcliffe, and Vikki Sivertsen.
Organised by British legend Steve Cram, the city of Worcester is the first in the country to host a 10K event which aims to harness and bring alive the spirit of London 2012.
Runners who fancy more of a challenge can test their metal in the Worcester City Run Bike Run event, a 50K race incorporating a 10K race, a 35K bike ride, and a further 5K race to finish.
There are events for all ages too, with a one-mile run for those under the age of 11 years-old and a 3K race for budding athletes aged between 11 and 15 years-old.
Your Worcester News is a partner of the landmark running event, and is offering 10 lucky winners the chance to take part in the 10K race for free, worth £25, when it kicks off on Sunday, September 21.
To claim your prize, simply answer the following the question: Which world-record holding athlete is set to take part in the Worcester City 10K race?
