THE skies above Worcestershire were the backdrop for a dramatic storm featuring heavy rain, thunder and lightning overnight.
This picture, taken by Paul Stokes in Droitwich, shows a fork of lightning in the night sky.
And weather forecasters have warned the storms are likely to continue this weekend after heatwave conditions today, with teperatures expected to rise to around 27C.
Tomorrow, temperatures are expected to reach around 22C, but more than 20mm of rain is expected to fall across the day, compared to between 5mm and 10mm last night.
