CITY firefighters were called to tackle a fire at a riverside pub near Worcester.
Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service was called at 5.35pm yesterday (Saturday) to the blaze which involved a deep fat fryer in the kitchen at The Camp House Inn, Grimley,
Three crews from Worcester attended and used four breathing apparatus, positive pressure ventilation, thermal imaging camera, a triple extension ladder and water from the River Severn to tackle the fire.
There was fire caused damage to the kitchen and the property was heavily smoked logged.
A man suffering smoke inhalation was checked over by West Midlands Ambulance Service.
