TWO men had to be rescued after their car became partially submerged in a flooded ford near Droitwich.
Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service was called at 7.20pm yesterday (Saturday) to Shell Ford, Himbleton, after the car got into difficulties.
The men had managed to get out of the vehicle and were waiting on the roof when emergency crews arrived.
A crew from Droitwich and a water rescue crew from Pershore attended and used ropes to pull the car out.
Another vehicle was also recovered from the water.
Meanwhile, a man was rescued from the from River Severn near Diglis Weir at 12.20am today (Sunday).
A water rescue unit from Pershore, a boat and fire crew from Worcester were called by police and rescued the man by 1.30am.
The Severn Area Rescue Association (SARA) was also called but not needed.
There were no reported injuries.
