A COMMUNITY has been left in shock after a man was found dead in Worcester city centre at the weekend.

Police were called to the Old Saints Flats, in Broad Street, Worcester, by the ambulance service at about 4.30am on Saturday morning where they found the man’s body.

Tributes have been flooding in to your Worcester News for the man, named locally as 25-year-old Paul Dinsdale.

Detective Sergeant Chris Percival, who attended the incident, said the death was being treated as unexplained.

“There are no suspicious circumstances,” he said. “We will be referring it to the coroner.”

Devastated friends and family have spoken of their sadness at his sudden passing, describing Mr Dinsdale as a “cheeky chap” who would “light up any room”.

Paula Buxton, his half sister who lives in Dorset, paid tribute to a “cheeky chap”.

“He was so funny,” she said. “Yes, he could be a naughty boy over the years, but he always made me laugh.

“We didn’t meet up as much as I’d have liked.

“My heart goes out to the family. RIP Paul, you cheeky chap.”Bethany Dinsdale said: “Can’t believe you have gone, we were only having a joke on Friday.

“My heart is well and truly broken, along with others.

“I’m going to miss you so much, all that popping by my work, and checking on me.

“You touched so many people’s hearts, you’re going to be missed by many. Love you so much Paul, RIP now angel.”

Zoe Bullock said: “RIP Paul, such a sad loss. “Another life taken too young.

“Thinking of all the family at this sad time.”

And Deanna Bedford said: “Rest in peace Paul. Gone but never forgotten.

“You touched so many lives, and thoughts go out to your close friends and family at this sad time. Glad I got to call you a friend.”

Sophie Conway said: “Paul Dinsdale had a laugh that would light up any room.

“A true character, it’s devastating news that will effect so many people in Worcester.“Thinking of his family at this time.” People have also paid tribute to Mr Dinsdale on the Facebook page of your Worcester News.

Melissa Lacey said: “RIP Paul, a good kid going to be missed by many. “Too young to be taken, thoughts and prayers to family.”

And Gemma Payne who said: “RIP Paul. “Everyone’s going to miss you mate and your smile. Sleep tight.”

Gail Harrison said: “Loveable, cheeky, happy chap, you will be missed Paul,” while Nicki Collins said: “Another of life’s lovable rogues taken too soon.

“RIP Paul, you will be greatly missed. Thoughts go out to all of your family.”

Keaton Jones added that his death had affected an entire community.

“Missed by everyone in Dines Green,” he said.

“The estate will never be the same again! Rest in paradise brother.”

While Clare Prosser sad the news was “heartbreaking”.

“So sad. Thoughts are with the family and sending much love,” she said.

“RIP Paul, so heartbreaking words can not describe it.”
