POLICE are appealing for information following the assault of a man in Evesham.

The 32 year-old man was assaulted after he is said to have intervened in an altercation between a man and a woman in Cowl Street, Evesham, on Sunday, July 20, at approximately 2am.

He was taken to hospital after receiving serious head injuries.

Jake Munro, 23, of Evesham,, has been charged in connection to the incident with causing grievous bodily harm with intent, common assault by beating and harassment of another.

He is set to appear at Worcester Crown Court on Monday, October 27.
