A HOSPICE supporting people in Worcestershire has launched an appeal to raise £100,000.

Primrose Hospice in St Godwald’s Road, Bromsgrove, has launched the Around the World for 80 Days of Care at Primrose Hospice appeal in a bid to raise cash to fund its services providing free care, advice and support to patients living with life-limiting illnesses and their families in north-east Worcestershire.

The hospice currently costs £1.6 million a year to run and it is hoped £100,000 will be enough to fund its care services for 80 days.

Chief executive officer Helen Garfield said: “Only one fifth of the funding we need comes from our colleagues in Health and we rely on local people to help us raise over £1.2 million every year.

“More and more people need our support but in these financially challenging times we desperately want to avoid having to turn people away.”

To donate to the appeal call 01527 889 796, visit www.primrosehospice.org/bigappeal or text PHBA01 followed by £12, £26 or £56 to 70070.

Cheques made out to Primrose Hospice can be sent to BIG Appeal, Primrose Hospice, St Godwald’s Road, Bromsgrove, B60 3BW and cash can be dropped off at the hospice or any of its six shops in Droitwich, Bromsgrove, Studley, Rubery, Headless Cross or Redditch.
