THE Three Pears Scooter Club are taking on an 80 mile scooter challenge for charity- while wearing piglet costumes.

A convoy of 30 Lambetta and Vespa scooters, along with support vehicles, are due to set off from The Ketch, St Peter's, and travel to Weston-Super-Mare tomorrow (Saturday, July 26) in aid of Headway Worcestershire.

Richie Rimell, of the scooter club, said: "We believe in Headway’s cause as one of our members suffered a serious head injury - it’s giving a bit of support to something worthwhile whilst pursuing our passion for scooters."

They are set to leave at 8am, and are scheduled to make stops in Gloucester and Central Bristol to collect donations. When they arrive in Weston-Super-Mare, they will take part in National Scooter Rally.

Anyone wanting to join the convoy, to make a donation or wanting more information, call 07721 557 664.

Headway Worcestershire supports people affected by brain injury and their carers, working closely with the NHS and local authority.
