A TEENAGER who suffered a head injury after being involved in a collision with a car in Worcester yesterday afternoon has been released from hospital.

Astwood Road was closed in both directions after the 14-year-old girl was involved in the collision at around 3.30pm.

The teenager received emergency medical treatment after sustaining a head injury and back and neck pain as a result of the collision, before she was taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital.

Police, an ambulance and a rapid response vehicle attended the incident.

As of this morning it was confirmed that the girl has been released from hospital.

glad that she appears to be ok but the pic shows a nearby crossing so if she wasn't using it, why wasn't she using it. whatever happened to looking before you cross and paying attention when croosing. i do hope there isn't another campaign for a wasted crossing to be put up as people don't use the ones provided then complain when things like this happen, i am of course referring to the one they put on london road which by the way was nowhere near where the girl got knocked down and was continually not used by the parents and children of the local schools
