POLICE are appealing for witnesses to an incident in Malvern last month in which a man was asked for money and pushed to the ground.

At about 5.45pm on Monday, June 16 a 45-year-old man from the town was walking through the grounds of Holy Trinity Church in Worcester Road when a man wearing a black hooded top approached him and demanded him give him money.

He then pushed the victim to the ground and ran off towards North Malvern Road after a vehicle drove past the scene.

The attacker is described as white, of medium build and was aged in his late 20s or early 30s. He was between five feet, eight inches and five feet, 10 inches tall with pale skin. As well as the hooded top he was wearing dark coloured trousers, and dark coloured cut-off fingerless gloves.

Anyone with any information can call police on 101 quoting incident number 706-s-160614.

Information can also be passed anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via www.crimestoppers-uk.org.
