FORMER X Factor contestant Giles Potter has announced he has left boy band Stateside.
Giles told his 86,200 followers on social networking site Twitter: "I'm no longer a member of @OfficialState sorry guys."
He only announced he had joined the band, which includes Paul Gascoigne's son Regan, a few weeks ago.
They have yet to release a single.
On the band's Twitter page, a message to followers said: "It is with regret we have 2 say the rumours are true, Giles is a great guy and will always be a #stater we wish him well for the future."
No reason has been given for his departure.
Giles, from Norton, Worcester, made it to Judge's House in last year's X Factor.
Judge Louis Walsh decided not to take him through to the live shows.
Since the show, the teenager has toured the country for gigs.
