A TEN-year-old girl was approached by a man in a suspicious incident that took place in Worcester.

The youngster was in Avon Road, off Tolladine Road, Worcester, at about 5.50pm on Monday, (August 4) when the man in a vehicle approached her.

He was described as Asian, approximately 45, around 5’10’’, thinly built with dark brown hair and wearing a grey top with text on.

The vehicle was silver but the model was unknown.

She ran away and told a trusted adult who then reported it to the police.

The girl was not touched during the incident or pulled in to the vehicle, but West Mercia Police said they take these suspicious incidents very seriously and an investigation is currently underway.

The police are now carrying out enquiries and reminding parents to continue in educating their children on the awareness of stranger danger.
