POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a woman in her 60s was attacked by a teenager in Worcester last month.

The woman and her partner were walking along Mersey Road at about midnight on Thursday, July 7 when they were confronted by two young men on BMX bikes.

Police said it is believed the woman was pushed into the road by one of the teenagers and suffered minor injuries, but did not need to be taken to hospital.

The attackers then got on their bikes and rode off towards the top of Ronkswood.

The attacker was described as white, about 16 or 17 years old, five feet nine inches tall with a thin build and short, dark hair. He was wearing a white t-shirt with a black band across the centre, black jogging bottoms and was riding a matt black BMX.

His friend was also white, about the same age and build with short, dark hair. He was wearing dark clothing and was also riding a black BMX.
