A WORLD renowned male voice choir from Wales will hit the right note when they raise money for a Worcester children's hospice.
A gala performance of the Treorchy leading male voice choir is set to take place at Worcester Cathedral on Saturday, October 11 at 7.30pm to raise money for Acorns Children's Hospice in Bath Road, Worcester. The 600 tickets have now gone on sale.
Mike Pezet, chairman of the Acorns Gloucestershire Support Group which raise funds for the hospice which cover the three counties of Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire, said: "The Treorchy is the leading male choir in Wales and has a worldwide reputation, having in recent times appeared in the Sydney Opera House, in Monte Carlo before Prince of Monaco, in Rome for the Pope and as most British people will know them for appearing at the Welsh Rugby matches in Cardiff.
"We want to fill the Cathedral for this not to be missed performance where the choir will be singing traditional Welsh hymns and songs from the musicals. There will be between 70 and 80 in the choir and that will produce a fantastic sound in the Cathedral."
Acorns cares for life limited and life threatened children and their families. For more information or tickets contact Worcester Live box office on 01905 611427.
