A MAN was detained by police after he threatened to jump from Worcester Bridge.
At 1.08am this morning, rescue officers from Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service and West Mercia Police were called to the scene in the city centre where a man had climbed over the railings and was threatening to jump.
The fire service prepared to put boats into the river Severn to rescue the man if he did fall, but he got back over the railings.
He was detained by police at the scene.
