A PLANNING application to build an extension to a block of flats in Worcester creating three new two-bedroom apartments has been refused.
At Thursday’s meeting of Worcester City Council’s planning committee members discussed the application for Thorneloe Court in Barbourne Road.
Ward member Cllr Joy Squires said residents in the area believed a separate detached building would be acceptable but were not happy with the extension.
The committee voted five to four, with two abstentions, to refuse the application on the grounds it would have an unacceptable impact on the appearance of the area.
