My mother Eva Mons Dutson born 27 August 1914, she was the daughter of Daniel and Alice Dutson, born at 16 London Road, Worcester. She was christened with the middle name of Mons to honour those lost at the battle of Mons, the news of the battle having been announced on the day of her birth.
