THE OWNERS of this parrot are calling out for his return after he went missing yesterday morning.

Carol Treagus, of Stanley Road, Worcester, says the family pet has not been since around 11.30am on Sunday, August 24, after he was last seen on the roof of DIY store, Wickes, in the Shrub Hill retail estate.

She said: "It's been a long time since we have seen him and we're getting really worried.

"He is part of the family, as we've had him since he was 12 weeks old, and we want him back as soon as possible. If anyone has seen him, please get in touch so we can get him back."

If anyone sees the nine year-old parrot, call Mrs Treagus on 07974 810 002.

I'm sure that the parrot knows where it is, so is it really missing? Maybe it just doesn't want to be in a cage any more? Also, brave to put your phone number on this website!

They've lost their pet. Do you have no feelings for someone who is desperate to find something they love? It may not be able to fend for itself in the wild so they are trying their best to find it again. I hope they find their family pet soon.

What a disgusting thing to say. How would you like it if a member of your family went missing!

It's not a child. It's a parrot. A wild bird. It should not be in a cage.

I agree with you that wild birds shouldn't be in a cage but he's not a wild bird now. He's 9 years old and has been a pet most of that time so he won't know how to survive in the wild. No he's not a child but they love him and want him back safe and by spreading the word that's the best way.
