AN ESTEEMED guest list embarked upon Puckrup Hall this week, to play out a golf game in the name of charity.

Ex football professionals, sports presenters and local businessman played out the 17 hole match, which also included an auction and lavish meal, in aid of the Sara Morgan charity.

Guests including Alan Mcinally, Andy Gray, Richard Keys, Paul Jewell, Graeme Sharp, Liam Brady and a whole host of other guests raised money for the charity which celebrates best performing colleges and students each year with awards.

Proceeds were also donated to Worcester's New College, as Sara was registered blind and attended the college before going to university to continue her studies.

Neil Morgan, Sara's brother, said: "It's very nice for people to come and support her.

"It's fantastic to see this many people out and support the charity which a lot of people have worked hard to get up and running.

"She attended the New College and enjoyed her time there, before she went off to university, so we wanted to support this college for everything they did for her."

Alan Mcinally, former ex Bayern Munich and Scotland player, said: "This was my first time here, and it's really nice. Worcester and the Tewkesbury area are very nice and pleasant places.

"To catch up with everybody is always nice, and it's great to come and support this charity as it's a very worthwhile cause."

The charity event went ahead on Tuesday, September 2.
