STAFF at a Malvern care home will be dressing up as their favourite Disney characters for a fundraising tea party tomorrow (Saturday).

And the local community is invited to join in the fun at Hastings, in Barnards Green Road, between 10.30am and 11.45am.

The event will include care assistant Terri Cottrell as the queen of villains Cruella De Vil, Cathy Thurlow as Snow White and Dan Bird as Robin Hood.

And visitors are also invited to come in fancy dress if they wish – with donations on the day boosting the fundraising efforts.

The event will raise money for Acorns Children’s Hospice, which provides vital support to local children and young people with life limiting conditions.

As well as colourful costumes, there will be Disney-themed cupcakes for sale and live music from Jenny Fellows and Rita Willmott, who will perform classics such as Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah, Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious and Bare Necessities.

There will also be a stunning piece of artwork of Beauty and the Beast created by local up and coming artist Tor Upson up for grabs in the raffle.

Manager Sue Milward said: “Acorns is an incredible charity which provides a lifeline to some very brave local youngsters and their families, so please come and support us to raise as much money as possible.”
