RESIDENTS in the Ronkswood area made the most of the summery weather on Sunday to enjoy a community fete.
The event in aid of New Hope, a charity helping families with children with disabilities, and Worcester Community Trust, which manages community centres across the city, was held on Sunday, September 7.
The fundraising event at Ronkswood Community Centre included a pageant for Prince and Princess of the fete, go kart racing, henna art and a chance for visitors to get up close with some exotic animals such as spiders, snakes and tortoises.
Speaking on Sunday afternoon organiser Lisa Hall said about 300 people and counting had visited the fete.
"It's been a fantastic day," she said.
"All the stalls have done really well.
"Its a great partnership of New Hope and Worcester Community Trust.
"We're raising funds for youth provision so there are more opportunities for young people in Ronkswood."
